Mundi McCarty

President & CEO

Mundi leads the Hoover Presidential Foundation’s strategic direction and fundraising initiatives. During her tenure, she has played a key role in advancing the Foundation’s $20.3 million capital campaign supporting the renovation and reimagining of the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum. Growing up in West Branch, Mundi developed a deep personal connection to the Hoover story, which continues to inspire her leadership and commitment to preserving and sharing Hoover’s legacy.

Shelly Mott

Executive Director of Development & Planned Giving

Shelly provides strategic leadership for all fundraising and donor engagement efforts at the Hoover Presidential Foundation, including major gifts, planned giving, capital campaigns, and annual giving. She has led fundraising strategy for the Foundation’s $20.3 million capital renovation campaign supporting the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum. With a background in law and extensive experience in nonprofit development, Shelly is committed to advancing Hoover’s legacy through thoughtful stewardship and long-term philanthropic partnerships.

Michelle Elizondo

Director of Engagement & Programs

Michelle brings more than 15 years of experience in engagement, communications, and relationship-building across nonprofit and mission-driven organizations. As Engagement and Programs Director, she leads initiatives that strengthen connections with the Foundation’s members, communities, and the Uncommon Student Award program’s students and alumni. Guided by a philosophy of listening first and creating meaningful experiences, Michelle’s work reflects Herbert Hoover’s enduring values of service, leadership, and humanity.

Greta Bierman

Director of Grants & Donor Information Systems

Greta oversees the full lifecycle of grant development at the Hoover Presidential Foundation, from research and writing to reporting and stewardship. She also administers the Foundation’s Research Travel Grants program and leads all data management efforts within the organization’s database systems. With more than 20 years of community outreach experience and a background in history, Greta is passionate about sharing the Hoover story and inspiring others through Herbert and Lou Henry Hoover’s commitment to service and humanitarianism.

Jackie Lynch

Director of Events & Digital Outreach

Jackie leads the Foundation’s public programming and digital engagement efforts, connecting audiences with Herbert Hoover’s legacy through events and online platforms. She oversees Foundation events and manages social media and digital outreach, expanding awareness of the Hoovers’ humanitarian work and public service. Passionate about storytelling, Jackie is dedicated to bringing lesser-known aspects of Herbert and Lou Henry Hoover’s lives to modern audiences in engaging and meaningful ways.
