School Bus Travel Grant

Bring Students to the Hoover Campus

Each year, thousands of students visit the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum and the Herbert Hoover National Historic Site to learn about Herbert Hoover’s humanitarian work and the global relief efforts that helped feed and save millions of people. These experiences help students better understand leadership, service, and the impact one individual can have on the world.

A Teacher’s Perspective

“Without the School Bus Travel Grant, our students would not have been able to visit the Hoover campus. When I asked my students about their favorite experience last year, the overwhelming response was our field trip to the museum. It was a truly memorable day for them.

Thanks to your support, more than 60 of my 2nd through 5th grade gifted students were able to experience an inspiring performance and explore the museum grounds. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity you’ve provided.”

Receive a Grant to Visit the Hoover Campus

The Hoover School Bus Travel Grant provides funds to help schools meet the transportation costs of educational field trips to the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum and Herbert Hoover National Historic Site. While we would like to cover all the costs of visits to the Hoover Campus, these funds are intended to subsidize travel costs. The program, funded entirely through contributions from private individuals, corporations, and foundations, is specifically intended to promote public education about and appreciation for Herbert Hoover.

Grant Eligibility

To be eligible to apply, the school must be a public, private, home or charter school; non-profit and tax-exempt that provides daily education to K-12 grade students. Schools with a Title I status or high reduced lunch percentage will be given priority. The Bus Travel Grant will be used solely to visit the Herbert Hoover Campus.
