b'ExhibitsIn 2022, the Quarton Gallery featured a long running temporary exhibit which drew lots of attention.Deliverance: America and the Famine in Soviet Russia, 1921-23 opened May 28 and ran through the end of the year. It told the story of how Herbert Hoover and the A.R.A. (American Relief Administration) loaded ships, trains and even sleds pulled by camels to deliver food relief through the harshest conditions during the winter of 1922.Bertrand Patenaude, a research fellow at the Hoover Institution curated the exhibit. The topic of Russian famine relief carried over beyond the exhibit. A panel of four speakers, including Patenaude, provided extensive detail on the subject at the Hoover Forum, held during Hoovers Hometown Days weekend at the Hoover Presidential Library.Joining Patenaude were historians and scholars George Nash, Charles Lederman and Mary Elizabeth Cox. A video crew from C-SPAN taped the event and continues to play segments of the forum as part of their Presidential series on the network.'
