b'Something for EveryoneYouth Hoover-Ball is a family favorite for students entering grades four through nine. The free event draws over 100 students and hundreds of onlookers. The young athletes build their skills in preparaion for one day joining the National Championship games played just a few blocks away.Youth Hoover-Ball, now in its eighth year, again was a big success. Nearly 100 fourth through ninth graders took to the courts to battle among three age divisions for trophies and the championship title. There is no fee for teams in the competition. Even in the heat, crowds filled the Village Green to cheer on their favorite teams.The Hoover-Ball National Championship games for the adults saw roughly two dozen teams competing for the national mens and womens titles. A team from Albuquerque, New Mexico took honors for the greatest distance traveled to the games.Despite the heat, it was the quality of these great programs that keep people coming back year after year to see what the Hoover Presidential Foundation will bring to them next.Allan Hoover III, President Hoovers great- grandson, along with many other members of the Hoover family, joined the parade and tossed candy to excited children along the route.'
